The concept of the Singularity marks the inception of the universe. It is the point where all matter was condensed into an infinitely small space. This Singularity exploded in the Big Bang, an event that occurred approximately 13.8 billion years ago. The aftermath of this explosion led to the expansion of the universe and the formation of all known matter.

The observation of the Big Bang is not direct but through the cosmic microwave background radiation (CMBR). The CMBR is the afterglow of the Big Bang, permeating the universe. Discovered in 1965 by Arno Penzias and Robert Wilson, this radiation provides a snapshot of the universe 380,000 years after the Big Bang, showing a universe that is uniform but with slight temperature variations that led to the formation of galaxies.

Dark Energy and Dark Matter are invisible components that together comprise 95% of the universe. Dark Energy, discovered through observations of distant supernovae, is responsible for the accelerated expansion of the universe. Dark Matter, inferred from its gravitational effects on visible matter, binds galaxies together. Both play crucial roles in the structure and future of the cosmos.

Galaxies are vast islands of stars, held together by gravity. Our Milky Way is just one of billions, each with its unique assortment of stars.
