Attractive Facial Structures

Have you ever noticed special patterns in a human face that make that specific face beautiful?
Have you noticed the striking beauty of the 'nose bulb’ and nostrils?
Have you seen the triangular pattern between the eyes and nose, or eyes and mouth that stand out?
Have you noticed repetitive shapes in a face that accentuate each other, from the front (En Face) or from the side (En Profil)?

Geometric Shapes

Circles

In the face you may recognize many geometrical shapes. In this chapter I will describe circles, such as:

• eye, iris, pupil,
• nose bulb, nostrils,
• cheek glistening, forehead glistening, chin glistening.

Repeating Colours

Light - Dark - Light

When you look at a face in the twilight, you can see repetitions of patterns regarding the brightness of approximately equally sized areas.
If you look from left to right, an eye roughly looks as if it consists of 3 planes:

A. Eye: 1. light (white of the left eye), 2. dark (iris and pupil), and 3. light again (white of the right eye). You can see the same pattern of color patches in the right eye as well.
B. Around the nose: 1. dark (left black nostril), 2. light (clear nasal bulb), 3. dark (right black nostril).
C. Half-open mouth: 1. dark (left, between lips), 2. light (one or two white front teeth), 3. dark (right, between lips).

These color areas can differ slightly in size and shape; variations exist.
In other words: the two eyes naturally have the same color gradient (light-dark-light), but the mouth and the nose have the dia-negative color (dark-light-dark). Thus, both the nose-bulb face and the mouth form an afterimage of the eyes.
An afterimage occurs when you have looked at something and then close your eyes; you see the image ‘glowing’ in your mind's eye, with inverted colors: light has become dark, and dark is light ... glowing for a few seconds. The afterimage then fades away in your mind.
