Repeating Lines and Patterns
In some people's faces, beauty is formed by the repetition of certain basic visual patterns, while in other faces, these beauty-enhancing patterns are less distinct.
Therefore, young women enhance these patterns with makeup or mascara to look more attractive to men. In the past, young ladies learned this seduction trick from their mothers, and nowadays via social media.
In the human face, especially the female face, there are many basic optical shapes that recur (partially) when viewed from different facial angles.
Depending on the person, these optical shapes can repeat in terms of the eyes, nose or mouth, cheeks, or chin.

Hairline

Some women accentuate certain features with their hairline.

Forehead - Eyelid - Nose bulb
When you see someone with her eyes closed:
From both the front and the side, a corresponding shape can exist between the forehead and each eyelid separately (in fair-skinned people).
Top: one large light glistening on forehead-skin.
Below: two small, closed eyelids of white skin (glistering discs).
The forehead can be an enlarged version of an eyelid and thus serve as a qualitative superstimulus: the forehead creates the illusion that the eyelid is much closer to the observer than is actually the case. In this way, the visually oriented man may unconsciously get fuelled by unconscious hope of making contact with the beautiful woman (who seems nearby in the imagery).
Conversely, an eyelid can be a repetition of the shape of the forehead. Repetitions in patterns lead to a quantitative superstimulus: seeing the same shape more often leads to greater attraction.
Furthermore, the -in this case- 3 light discs have the same form-gestalt as the nostril – nose bulb – nostril trinity. The afterimage of the image flash brings the face seemingly closer and thus more accessible to the viewer.
